You have questions about Ideas Pool, we answer them!
Q. What is the ideas pool?
A. It is a way of logging ideas people have for community projects and or events, often you may have an idea but not really ready to get it off the ground. You can join the Ideas Pool and upload your idea.
Q. What are the benefits of logging my idea?
A. Once you join and upload an idea onto the Trello Board, it is there for other members to see. This means if someone can take this idea forward they need to include you, as you are the idea holder. There are lots of times I think of an idea, and then maybe a year later someone is doing it, this way we can form groups of people with the same ideas to work together keeping the authenticity of who the central idea person is.
Q. How do you become a member?
A. Email BristVol@outlook.com and you will receive an email regarding data protection and group etiquette, once your membership is approved you will be added to the Trello Board.
Q. Is this for all areas of Bristol?
A. At present this is a pilot for BS5 only.
Q. Why is the Ideas Pool being run via BristVol?
A. It was decided within the planning meetings between various community organisations that BristVol is a community Group and is impartial, so best placed to take the pilot forward. This will be reviewed to decide at a later date what works.
Idea’s Pool example:
The idea of how to feed young people 11-18 in Easton for the summer holiday was entered onto the Ideas Board, this has supported a partnership forming from Super Super Club, BMCS, as part of the Nexus have formed a plan, to feed young people on Fridays, a name, and allocated funding has been sourced. A great example of the ideas pool in action.
